History in the Works

Talk about my body breaking down- history was made by the severity of the stomach virus I got Wednesday night. I won't go into extreme details on this, but I am reminded of 2 lines from 2 of my favorite movies. Line one is from The Devil Wears Prada, "I'm one stomach flu away from my goal weight." A few scenes later, she is hit by a car and DYING to eat carbs. LOL. The 2nd is from the movie Sex in the City. Charlotte, newly pregnant, has given up running out of fear of "something bad happening." Carrie kindly reminds her, "Sweetie, you sh- your pants this year; I think you're good." So... maybe I'm good for the year now? And, I DID meet my goal weight, thanks to the stomach bug. Nothing like waking up with dried vomit in your hair to make you appreciative of the small things in life (rolling eyes). In summary, running is on the back burner, at least until I have enough energy to bring in my own mail.

The FUN history is that it snowed here!!!! Yep, from what I've heard, first time in 12 years. It's the first time I've seen snow at this house, too. We were out of school today. I can't quit thinking about the kids, though. A lot of them have never seen snow. I'm sure there's lots of fun going on right now. Below are some pics of our "blizzard."

Sorry about the stomach bug, it's been spreading up here too. My friend who had it said pretty much the same thing you did. He lost 7lbs in 20 hours!

  11. Oh, I hope you're feeling better soon. Enjoy the snow! It's wonderful in small doses. While playing in the snow is great, I also highly recommend sitting by the window with some hot chocolate and watchin it fall. :)
